This set was a great addition to my sons’ (ages 4 and 6) Lego Minecraft world. My oldest needed some help with assembly but he’s only 6 (product is rated for ages 8+). The fact that the ghast actually shoots the little 1×1 lego bricks was a nice touch (but easy to lose the pieces, they shoot pretty far), as well as the glow in the dark “glowstone” bricks. The boys have enjoyed hours of fun with this set, and will continue to do so on many more trips to the Nether!

LEGO has decided to provide us with three mini figures. Steve looks just as awesome in LEGO form as he does in Minecraft. Sporting basic purple pants and blue shirt, none of which have printing on either the back of front save for the tiny bit at the neck line.

OK so I’m a 60 year old women and I’ve never been into Lego’s, however I am a HUGE Big Bang Theory fan and just had to have this – This was the very first Lego I have ever done. I love the instruction book with a picture of each step – that is great, It took 5-6 hours to put together and it was really fun. I loved that it was relaxing and the whole world just kind of “went away” while I was working on it. I think I might just be a Lego fan too.

PROS: Easy to put together, no missing pieces – in fact a bunch of extras, Great instructions. ADORABLE BBT apartment & cast. CONS: now I have to find another Lego Project- and they are a bit pricey..

Lets forget all about the other LEGO Minecraft set I’ve already reviewed. Consider this your first set, and realise that LEGO will be including a Steve mini fig in all its sets. After all, he is the hero of the game. Along with Steve, you get a Skeleton, Cow and Sheep to flesh out that farm.

The Farm is a truly enchanting and “just right” set. My 8yo son and I have gotten three sets so far (this and The Cave and The First Night) and each has its own “feel”…and they go together seamlessly (literally and figuratively). Even though I am not a Minecraft player myself I found this set to be great fun.

When the Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary project by Brent Waller was announced that it will be the next official LEGO Ideas (formerly CUUSOO) set, my mouth literally dropped. Although the firehouse headquarters wouldn’t be included, it was still cool knowing that we would still get the Ecto-1 (21108).

Although the Ecto-1 is a little smaller than Brent’s version, it is still a great representation of the vehicle. This is probably my favorite LEGO CUUSOO/Ideas build so far and no doubt that it will be popular with AFOLs as well as general Ghostbusters fans… Read more here

My 4 year old who loves Frozen had to have this. Once we received it, she was eager to start building. the box says ages 6-12, which is probably accurate. since my daughter is 4, I had to assist her in putting the Legos together, but it was a fun together-time project. I was actually surprised at how well she was able to find each piece needed and was pretty good at putting them together correctly for the most part. I was just there to oversee and tell her if she was putting anything on wrong. She had a great time building it and felt a sense of pride once she completed it. Her only complaint was that the castle was small than she expected. But as a 4 year old, I can only image what she thought the size would be (life size maybe?) who knows!.

As far as what’s included: the ice castle, Elsa, Anna, a sled, Olaf, and a picnic setting. It is very nice. Hopefully one day Lego will make another set to include Kristoff and Sven.

First off this set is priced retail at $50 and is really nice but not worth more than $50. I bought mine from the Lego store in the mall on my way home from work. They told me these are flying off the shelf so get it while you can. The mini figures are awesome and super detailed and come with a really cool stand to display them. The car itself is really detailed and thankfully looks just like the ECTO-1 from the movie. Only part thats a little disaponiting is the fact that only 3 mini figs can fit in the car at once.

Its really not a big deal but it is something to know before you buy it. This set comes with a really nice book that has some nice history about the movie and will go well if you want to display it. Take your time building the car because its a really fun build with alot of small pieces. Bottom line great set, nice price and really fun build with AWESOME mini figures. This should be displayed for all to see. AWESOME LEGO SET 🙂

Just got it, my son is already obsessed with this Lego Minecraft The Cave 21113 Building Set

My son got in the latest Lego magazine this week, saw the poster insert on the new Minecraft sets, and looked them up and started with this LEGO Minecraft The Cave 21113 Set, the lowest priced set. We just got this last night. My son is totally in love with it, and seems like a decent value for the price. We bought a couple of the Lego Minecraft Worlds a few months back, and they pretty much just sit on the shelf now. These sets are a much better Lego extension for Minecraft. This set has led to my son ransacking his older boxes of Legos to extend this set. I only wish I had more similarly colored blocks to extend the cave. Enjoy!

For the main build, we get two bags with a decent amount of bricks in each. The first bag is all about building the foundation of the Cave. Three base pieces make up the Cave floor, the small patch of water and lastly the lava. 80% of this bag is made up of light grey pieces to build up the cobblestone formation. Expect plenty of double height square blocks and lots of stacking to quickly build height. At first I thought it was going to be pretty boring, but nope, I was wrong. A fair bit goes into the set and with many different sized grey blocks, you eventually add all the bases together to make the Cave area. Best of all, the base pieces are actually locked together by using different size blocks. Trust me when I say, I tried breaking these areas off from the main Cave, and nothing. A slight bit of movement, but they hold tight. Thanks to LEGO for really making this a sturdy play set…. Read more here

It’s hard for me to review Legos because I am not the one putting them together. This set was for my 9 year old and he says that he likes it because it’s fun and came with little Lego Minecraft figures. This set is regular size Legos. It is not one of the Micro Minecraft sets. It came with two Lego mini figures (Steve and a zombie) and a spider. The instruction book shows two different ways to put this set together. My kids seem to like these regular size Lego Minecraft sets versus the micro sets because they can combine them with their other Lego set. We own probably 100 Lego sets and this one, according to my kids, was medium of the road set as far as putting it together. I have three boys and all they play with are Legos. I don’t think we have ever been let down by Legos and this is another great product from Legos.
